Does ABS module need to be bled?

In a typical automotive environment, the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) module itself does not require bleeding. When you perform a brake system bleed, you typically focus on bleeding the brake fluid within the brake lines, calipers, and brake cylinders to remove air bubbles and ensure proper brake system performance.

However, in some cases, it may be necessary to bleed the ABS system, especially if you have replaced components such as the ABS module, brake master cylinder, or ABS pump. Some modern vehicles equipped with an electronic control unit (ECU) ABS system may require specific procedures to bleed the ABS module to ensure proper functionality.

Do electric cars need any fluids?

While traditional components of electric vehicles (EVs), such as engines and transmissions, do not require fluids, they still use certain fluids for other functions.  Here are some of the fluids that may be present in electric vehicles:
① Coolant: Electric vehicles have a cooling system to regulate the temperature of the battery pack, electric motor and other components. Coolant is used to dissipate heat and maintain optimal operating temperature.
② Brake fluid: Electric vehicles may be equipped with a hydraulic braking system that uses brake fluid, similar to traditional vehicles. Some electric cars also use regenerative braking systems, which generate electricity when decelerating, reducing reliance on traditional friction brakes.
③ Transmission oil (in some cases): Although electric vehicles usually do not have a traditional transmission, some models may be equipped with a single-speed transmission or reduction gear, which may require lubrication.

Be sure to check the manufacturer's guidelines for the specific maintenance requirements for each electric vehicle model, as they may vary. But in general, electric vehicles have much lower fluid maintenance requirements than traditional internal combustion engine vehicles.
